I was born on November 1968. When I was six years old, thanks to my
parents, I started to take classic piano lessons and little by little, also alone, I
start to study the pieces, without looking at the genre.
The turning point arrives at the age of 17 when, during a school trip, I was
stroken down from listening (about 15 times consecutive) of the song "We're
not gonna take it" of Twisted Sister,
and from that moment I've never abandoned the hard rock and heavy metal
genres.
On january 1988 I asked to a friend of mine
(Cristiano
Noziglia) if he could borrow me an old synth and I start to play with
Massimo Bertoldi (ex
schoolfriend of the high school), his brother Claudio
and one called Andrea Cord́ …
The band was called Opera. After about four
months, the first
public exhibition, it was the 24th april 1988. Full of enthusiasm and using
the all my money on october '88 I bought my first keyboard, a Roland
D10 and from that moment, for seven years, we have broken eardrums (and not
only...) of all the music lovers.
What can we say about Opera?
Same point of view about the genre, remarkable undrestanding, will to improve continuously, and
consequently... big satisfactions as cover band, collecting many and satisfactory live
experiences in the squares, in the music pubs, in the variuos teathers and
in the sport arenas, proposing a repertoire not bad, as number of songs, and
as quality (Deep Purple,
Van
Halen, Dream Theater, Rush).
In 1994 the band broke up, someone went too far and I accepted the proposal
of other friends (Davis, Guido
and Luca) and I became part of the band “Euphonia”,
continuing with the same commitment and a similar genre (Whitesnake,
Faith No More) 'till summer 1996. After that my keyboards remained in their
boxes, 'till novembre 2001, when
the adventure with RattleRattlestarted…
...
but this is another story.
